A history built on

Performance|Pride|Passion

It all started with getting to the track…

    NEW FUTURES

Towards the end of the 1960’s, in a time when cars like the Ferarri 246 ruled the asphalt Pasqualino Turatello built a trailer to his own specification to transport his self-built car. The trailer was so admired that many commissioned Pasqualino to build trailers for their cars too… and with no sign of this demand stopping, in July 1970 the “Turatello Trailers Auto” was born, little more than a family company managed by Pasqualino and Maria Grazia

    BY THE REIGNS

The demand for Turatello trailers seemed never never ending and, with requests coming in from many sectors production quickly diversified to goods trailers, tent trolleys and a few years later, horse transport – which due to the now signature Turatello build quality, quickly became the leading market.

    SPREADING OUT

From the Equine market our semi-trailers were born. The destinations were global with all manner of cargo from horses, goods, boats and all types vehicles and life was good, right up until the 90s, where a combination of Italian financial crisis, crashes in the horse sector and increasing competition from Eastern Europe chasing the demand for trailers put Turatello on the defensive.

    BACK TO THE TRACK

After many years battling uphill, Francesco Turatello, son of Pasqualino, acquired the company in 2005. Seeing the increasingly difficult situation he knew something had to change. Being a car lover, Franceso decided it was time to go back to Turatello’s roots in racing, so he and the team created a unique line of ad hoc trailers.

    GOOD CALL

It turned out that call for change was the right one – The very first batch of trailers causing the same stir as almost 50 years previously., with sales once again growing year after year despite a now very fierce and predominantly European market.
